Module 2 overview
This practical module explores how Large Language Models (LLMs) can be used to assist you in content development. Throughout, the emphasis is on using prompts effectively and integrating AI into editorial workflows, while maintaining the integrity of source content and respecting copyright and institutional restrictions.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
Engineer effective prompts to assist with different stages of content development (researching ideas, drafting, structuring, refining)
Develop prompts to support a range of core editorial stages (structural editing, copyediting, proofreading)
Use AI to check for consistency in style, tone, and terminology across documents
Critically assess AI-generated text for hallucinations and factual accuracy
Integrate AI into a workflow to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality
