Note: This introductory module is offered twice: on 11 and 18 February.
Module 1 overview
In this introductory module, we’ll explore a range of AI tools and consider which stages of the publishing process they are best suited to. You’ll learn how to evaluate some of the most widely used platforms and integrate them into your work routine for non-content-related activities, while also building a shared understanding of key AI terms and concepts.
Learning outcomes By the end of this module, you will be able to:
Understand key AI terms and concepts
Identify the strengths and limitations of major AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini)
Configure AI workspace settings for data privacy and efficiency
Select the appropriate tool for specific tasks
Automate administrative tasks such as email drafting and summarising meetings
